Born Pretty Store Review: Joyme Nail Art Pen

Good Morning! As promised, here is the 2nd product which was provided to me for review by BornPrettyStore, if you have missed yesterday's post, they have a wide range of nail art products for you to choose and provides free shipping worldwide!

Lacqueerisa: Joyme Nail Art Pen No.8

Joyme Nail Art Pen is a waterbased formula and is Toluene Free, DBP Free and Formaldehyde Free. They priced about $5.99 each. They have 6 colours which you can choose from. I've chosen to review #08 Joyme Nail Art Pen which is a red colour.

Lacqueerisa: Joyme Nail Art Pen No.8

Inside you'd find a semi translucent nib. I have used it which is why it has colour. A brand new nib would look grey white colour. The usage is really simple. All you have to do is give this pen a good shake, pushed the nib down on a scrap paper (pumping it) a couple of times till you see a thin line of red polish flowing. Start drawing! So simple.

Lacqueerisa: Joyme Nail Art Pen No.8

This is by far the easiest and shortest time I've ever used to do a nail art. Easily under 10 minutes! Of course, the layering of polishes I did for this nail look took some time. But the designs, super fast! Pump & Draw! I must say it is rather transparent as you can see in what used to be a time consuming nail art above. But I find it alright just the way it is.

Lacqueerisa: Joyme Nail Art Pen No.8

Can you tell how much I love this Joyme Nail Art Pen already? No messy streaks, no stringy mess, crisps lines...The ability for Lettering!! Couldn't resist drawing a letter there! (L for Lacqueerisa of course *winks*). The capability for all the details brushes couldn't achieve! In short, the usage process was a bliss. I'm going to get more of these pens. So convenient!

To summarized my opinions about this Joyme Nail Art Pen: -

What I like about this product:
  • Easy to use. Just pump and draw!
  • The ability for details
  • No clumpy mess, no stringy mess
  • Fast drying time
  • Cuts down design time! Time Saver!
What I dislike about this product: (updated)
  • Because it is waterbased, this product tends to get washed off easily. Be sure to protect all designs with top coat and seal your nail tips for longer wearing days.
  • It was great on first few tries but after a few months of not touching it, this product is now unusable. I wish it has a longer 'lifespan' - lol.
And remember to use my coupon code below as well as located on my side bar for 10% discount off your purchases from Born Pretty Store. This Joyme Nail Art Pen is so worth it! If you love to attempt designs, I totally recommend you to get one this! ;)

  1. Haven't tried those kind of nail art pens before but I really want to now since you're raving about it! The nail art looks very funky and honestly I've never thought that a glitter blue would work with a red so well *_*

    1. Hehe, now you know! :D I am glad the colour combination inspires you! It's my first time trying this type of pen as well. I love it! Wish there were more like this. Definitely will come in handy during travelling! :D

  2. That one sounds marvelous! The designs you've drawn here are gorgeous! I prefer holding a pen than a brush, but that might be just because I have this thing inside my brains telling me I can't draw :p
Anyhow, this is a great review ^^

    1. Thank you! I find that there are times when pen is better compared to brush. But if it comes to nail arts, I think pen kinda wins. Hahaha!!!

  4. Mine stopped working in the middle of my design... Well, more at the end, but because it's not white enough I wanted to give an extra layer and at my last nail the pen just stopped working :s Good you've updated it (:

  5. Hey Noor! Oh, that really sucks! But fortunately you were done with most of the designs. =/ The first impression this pen had was really good. But after sometime, it became unusable way too soon. If only it lasted as good as the first impression was! :(
